GrandeVie Senior Living Community, at 2140 Five Mile Line Road, has received state approval to operate as an Assisted Living Residence with additional certifications in enhanced and special needs care. GrandeVie was the first adult care facility in Western New York to receive such certification from the state health Department.
The approval allows GrandeVie to expand its operations to include 29 private rooms and suites devoted specifically to Enhanced ALR.
The State certifications grant GrandeVie permission to care for 136 ALR residents, 29 Enhanced Care residents, and 22 Special Needs residents. The newly-renovated Enhanced ALR units include 29 private rooms and suites, a dining room and lounge that are staffed with professionals who provide 24-hour nursing care. Residents are now being accepted into the Enhanced ALR program at GrandeVie.
The newest certification authorizes GrandeVie to provide aging-in-place services for those who need diabetes management including blood glucose monitoring, insulin and other routine injections, those who are chronically chair fast or dependent on medical equipment and require more than intermittent assistance from medical personnel, as well as those with chronic, unmanaged urinary or bowel incontinence.
