- Seniors Raise Funds for CURE

On Thursday, May 21 the residents and staff of GrandeVille Senior Living Community (Greece) and GrandeVie Senior Living Community (Penfield) hosted a "Spring Fling." The purpose of this event was to sell plans and flowers to raise money for CURE, whose mission is to improve the lives of families coping with childhood cancer or chronic blood disorders by providing emotional, educational, and financial assistance. GrandeVille and GrandeVie were able to raise over $400 for CURE.
According to Jeanine McKay (GrandeVie) and Tina Brown (GrandeVille) this event is one of many planned for the year by the two sister communities to "give back to the community." The next scheduled event is a flag sale on June 11 at both locations. The flag sale will benefit the Veterans Outreach Center on South Avenue.
